Default emissions value for unconventional fuels introduced in the Fuel Quality Directive, despite heavy industry lobbying

A significant step forward in the EU´s climate policy was made yesterday, when the European Commission decided to include a default emissions value for tar sands and oil shale in the implementing provisions of Article 7a of the Fuel Quality Directive.
